Social Farming Social Action Conference in UK- June 2018
The final conference of Social Farming Social Action took place at the Treetops Forest Centre in Cannock Case, an Area of Outstanding National Beauty.
The five partners of SOFI attended and shared the Kev learnings from the project, highlighting and sharing good practice. In addition Dr John Hegarty Professor of Psychology and a great believer in Green Therapy gave a presentation along with students who had completed their university work on Social Farming.
In total over fifty delegates from different agencies and organisations enjoyed a thought provoking day in the forest with a lunch of local food. It enabled participants to see the many benefits and wider social impact of animals plants and the countryside for those with varying health and social care needs.
